Message from the Artist

I am a film student/3D animator/Graphic Designer in the Digital Multimedia Course at Red River College. I have been doing illustrations all of my life and just recently I discovered the wonders of digital artwork via Photoshop. But my true passion in life is film. I try to incorporate some of the elements in film making that I've learned over the years, and utilize then to give each piece a story.

To be honest, i don't know where this particular piece came from. It was an assignment for my Graphic Design class and the two subjects represented were supposed to be an angel and devil, and the theme was Battle on the Surface of Saturn. I took some creative liberties and tried to focus more on the aftermath of the battle rather than the brawl itself. I wanted to show the two subjects becoming reliant on one another for survival on this cold barren planet.

I sketched the main elements out first, then took a photo of it and brought it into Photoshop to do the coloring. Thanks to everyone who's seen, commented and voted for this piece and others. This is a great community of artists, and this award means a hell of alot.
